Since starting their Florida trip with an impressive 2-1 victory over No. 10 ranked Marietta, Farmingdale St. has been inconsistent.
They lost 13-8 to Baldwin Wallace, 11-5 to Mansfield prior to defeating New Paltz 7-5.
In the last game, Mike Dolce won his second game of the season, although he wasn’t at his sharpest. He threw 6.2 innings, allowed 10 hits, two walks and five earned. Sophomore stud Alex Weingarten fired 2.1 scoreless innings for the save. New Paltz made four errors which accounted for four of the seven runs.
The Rams are back in action today against Nichols, which will conclude the Florida trip.
