Molloy finished their weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C with a 2-2 record. They were victorious over Nyack and Caldwell after losing the first two against Merrimack and Stonehill.
John Galanoudis finished the weekend 7-for-18 (.389) and Carlos Guzman was right behind with 6-for-16 (.375). Max Schonfeld provided the team with just what they needed, a huge performance to get the first win of the season. He went 7.1 innings, yielding on 1 earned run on six hits.
Alex Brosnan followed suit with 7 strong innings the next game, allowing only two runs with six strikeouts. The Lions pounded out 14 hits, with five players compiling multi-hit performances in the 12-2 drubbing.
All things considered, it was a great end to the weekend. The Lions were able to right the ship and will head to Garden City on Saturday to take on the Panthers of Adelphi. It should be a strong contest between the two Nassau County Division-II programs.
