The Adelphi Panthers won a slugfest over LeMoyne by a score of 9-7. They got out to a 9-0 lead after three innings on the strength of a seven-run third. They were held scoreless after that and nearly saw their lead slip away. LeMoyne posted three runs in the fourth and four runs in the seventh.
Closer Dillon McNamara came on to put out the fire for his fifth save, this time tossing 1.1 spotless innings while striking out three. Chris Pabisch was the winner for the Panthers as he threw five innings while allowing three runs to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Panthers compiled 16 hits, with senior Anthony Zarrella leading the way with a 4-5 effort knocking in three runs. Kevin Hutzel, Nick Zito and Chad Houghton each had three hits of their own.
Their record improved to 10-9-1, including 2-4 in the NE-10 while LeMoyne drops to 8-12 on the year.
