Stony Brook: The Seawolves took on St. John’s at Citi Field and it was a fantastic game through 11 innings. The score was deadlocked at 1-1. Unfortunately a hit by pitch with the bases loaded followed by a three-run double broke the game open as St. John’s scored six in the 12th to win 7-1. It was the first time Stony Brook played a game at Citi Field.
Adelphi: Freshman Jonathon Mulford continued his terrific beginning to his collegiate career by tossing eight shutout innings allowing only three hits against Dominican as the Panthers won by a score of 7-0. Mulford moves to 2-0 on the season.
The offense was led by Brandon Stahl who stayed hot and added two hits hits and two RBI from the leadoff spot. Nick Zito, Vincent Sharkey and Donato Signore all added RBI hits as the Panthers got back on the winning track.
Farmingdale: The Rams moved to 10-9 on the season with a 6-1 win over Baruch in a non-conference game. James Powers moved to 4-2 on the season as he threw seven innings of shutout ball, allowing only one hit.
Anthony Alvino drove in two runs and scored one while going two-for-four. Dalton McCarthy also had two hits and drove in a run.
St. Joseph’s: The Golden Eagles stayed hot with a 4-0 victory over Oneonta State as they inched closer to .500. Glenn Patriss tossed an incredible three-hit shutout with four strikeouts.
Brian Hannigan, Dan Diblasi, Matt Ginobbi and Vincent Reda all compiled multiple hit afternoons with the three-run second inning being all Patriss needed.
Old Westbury: The Panthers were defeated 10-3 by nationally ranked Kean University. Old Westbury fell in a 9-1 hole after four innings. Stephen Chapter suffered the loss as he drops to 1-2 on the season.
Lopez homered and drove in four runs for Kean who improves to 14-4 on the season.
